2 - Print and cut

Seam and hem allowances are already included.

 

4 - Label your pieces

For clarity, we made the wrong side of our fabric darker.

 

5 - Create the belt loops

 

6 - Create the belt

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch

 

7 - Attach the hem band

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch

 

8 - Sew the shoulder seams

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

9 - Attach the sleeves

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

10 - Attach the belt loops

  • Use 1/4 inch seam allowance

  • We chose a basting stitch

 

11 - Sew the sleeve and side seams

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

12 - Finish the hem band

  • 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose an edge straight stitch

 

13 - Hem the bottom

  • Use 1 & 3/8 inch hem allowance

  • We chose a double-fold hem with a straight stitch

 

14 - Create the collar

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch

 

15 - Attach the collar

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a straight stitch

 

16 - Do a little dance!
