How to cut the Pattern Pieces out of Fabric

• Cut on Fold - For ‘cut on fold’ pieces, fold the fabric in half, position the piece along the fold and cut them out of the fabric.

• Grainline - For ‘grainline’ pieces, align the grainline arrow with the grainline of the fabric and cut it out of the fabric.

• Notches - Notches are used during sewing to make sure that the pieces are correctly aligned. Cut the notches out of the fabric as indicated in the piece.

• Pattern Letters - To keep track of the pieces, use a fabric pen to mark the piece letter on the inside of the fabric.
